Welcome to Dottke Project-Based Learning High School

Welcome James E. Dottke Project-Based Learning High School! Since 1983, we have been intentionally different in how we do school and are now proud to deliver a student-driven, project-based learning education that serves up to 200 students of all backgrounds and abilities in grades 9-12.  At Dottke, we move beyond rigorous content delivery by expecting our students to then apply what they’ve learned in meaningful, authentic ways that have a positive impact on themselves, their school, their community or the world.

Mr. Goelz

Welcome from Principal Goelz!

Hello Dottke students and families!  Welcome to the 2025-26 school year at James E. Dottke Project-Based Learning High School!  What an exciting time to be a Phoenix!
At Dottke, we learn by doing.  We learn by taking risks.  We learn by failing.  We learn alongside one another.  We learn in ways that will benefit us in our adult lives.  And most of all, we learn that achieving our individual full potential is hard work, but attainable.

I'm looking forward to an amazing and memorable 2025-26 school year!
